Signature Smock near the end!

This hand painted pink flower smock is the first smock design ever in the Poss Bloss range. It has become a firm favorite over the 4 years and the signature smock for Poss Bloss.
Sadly, the paint, primer & seal that I use to paint the smock has been deleted from production and I am also having trouble getting the gingham I like to use. It obviously means that it is time to move on......
I have a very limited number of (small sizes only) left so be quick! Available in the Poss Bloss online store.

Fat Mum Slim

I have many favorite blogs and having only just dicovered it, Fat Mum Slim is fast becoming one of them.

Today's fat Mum Slim blog post is relating to an article in this morning's Daily Telegraph about parents leaving children in cars while they run errands etc. It is not referring to the many incidents of children left in cars while parents gambled at casino's that created a media frenzy some time ago, but this targets mums & dads like you and me who may leave their children in the car for a minute or two to run into the bakery, butcher or pay for petrol.

So if you want a read of Chantelle's personal account of a similar incident and all the varied comments on this matter, head over to her blog. I can assure you that it won't be the last time you visit :-)

A visitor to our garden!

While Kookaburra's are quite a common sight in our neighbourhood, this little one held the attention of the four of us yesterday. Perched on a weeping blossom tree in our front garden, we all took turns with the camera to see who could get closer & the better picture. Maybe because it was Sunday we actually had a moment to appreciate the amazing wildlife on our door step.

Market stock clearance!

As I mentioned in a previous post, I have decided to take a break from markets over winter which means I need to clear the stock I am holding.

I have created a new category in the online store 'Market Stock Clearance' where I have started to list items at a reduced price. Items may have a few scuffs on the PVC from being on market display.

A very easy origami fish to start little ones off with.

In this months newsletter I included some great links & examples of origami for kids. Here is an example of a very basic origami fish that my 6 year learnt at school and is perfect to start with.
Start with a square piece of paper, fold diagonal & crease.

Open paper with right side facing down

Fold both sides into the middle crease like a paper aeroplane

Take a pair of scissors are cut about 3 cm on the crease line at the tail end

Turn over and fan out two tail pieces

Draw on eye, mouth & gills

And there is your origami fish!!!

Loving this new Paula Prass Cobblestone fabric

The perfect neutral design with gorgeous baby blue base fabric with brown dots, white 'stones' & bias binding.
Both the Long sleeved bib & Nappy Wallet have now been listed in the Poss Bloss online store. If you're a Poss Bloss subscriber then you are able to purchase these two items as a set at a great price.

Thanks so much Monique!!

Monique from Your Cheeky Monkey is one of those people that if you call for help she puts up her hand without hesitation. In a recent post I mentioned that Lisa from Fairy Floss Creations was looking for donations to help raise funds for Microtia Australia.

Monique has so kindly donated this gorgeous Mother & Baby pack including a fabric covered notebook, adorable newborn hat & matching burp cloth.

Lisa & the family's involved have now received a major donation of $10,000 to cover costs of doctor's visiting Australia from the USA. She is organising a raffle of donated goods to raise money to help support families involved.

Buttons by Lou Lou

You would think having 2 girls I would be over ballerina's and the like. Well, not entirely, especially when they're as adorable as these Buttons by Lou Lou headbands. Lou will be at the Mathilda's Market on 21st June, 2009. So if you are making the trip to the Malvern Town Hall, this is a stall not to pass by.

bugandpop: That only happens on TV - doesn't it??

This is a very personal post from Cindy over at bugandpop. She tells of how her husband Glen had the most terrifying experience with his little daughter this week. It is just a little reminder to keep our little ones close.
